Every year the Dell'Aquila's request me to photograph their family for their annual family Christmas card. The plan is to always meet somewhere at Central Park because they live near there and it is always a picturesque place to have family portraits photographed. This year we met at the Dakota and entered the park on 72nd. The children Eve and William were enjoying their day running around with each other while I snapped away. Using an 18-270mm Tamron lens I had my focus set to AI Servo and shot using Aperture priority starting at f5.6 with my ISO on 400 because it was overcast and a bit dark and I didn't want my shutter speed to drop too low causing motion blur. It was a great shoot with a great family as always.

ReplyDeleteDagny has done a wonderful job photographing our family for many years now; she is tremendously talented and knows how to work well with people. Our kids love her and cooperate with Dagny's direction willingly. Our extended family are impressed every year with our Christmas card and we get loads of positive comments.
ReplyDeleteIts always a challenge being parents of young children to get good family shots. It's usually Dad or Mom with the camera so someone is missing from the group shots. Dagny makes it possible for us to really capture our family as the kids grow up and to record some happy times in our lives. Of course, these photos are priceless to us and we look forward to our next photo session with Dagny.
I could not recommend any photographer more highly than Dagny; she has become an extended member of our family! Love to all this holiday season!

I look forward to our session each and every year and enjoy looking back on the photos every once in a while because it amazes me how fast the children have grown. I can also tell the children enjoy it especially Eve. She loves to pose. It really is a lot of fun.
